I built this circuit to react to the low frequency tones of the music vs. As you can see in my diagram, this portion is just a simple RC circuit. You can adjust the resistor and capacitor values as you see fit. The RC circuit filter allows for only the passing of low frequencies. If you want to pass high frequencies only, I would suggest using an RL circuit. I use a simple 1-stage filter, as it gives me the desired results.
Here I use two uF capacitors in series to give an equivalent capacitance of uF with a ohm resistor. The cutoff frequency here would be 10 Hz. I connected the input using one of the 3.

Very cool n interesting projectI am planing to do it as I already installed led strips on wall and on my gaming desk self made, self paintednow I want sound activation on my all led strips but want to use different channels such as left audio controlls under desk led strip ,1mtr.
Right audio coltrolls leds behind desk, and the woofer controlls the wall led. But the problem is I am not getting the TIP31 anywhereso want to know what are the alternatives of the same.
